Dr Monique Camacho started her academic training in science before she received her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2010. During her medical internship at The Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Johannesburg – the largest hospital in – she was honoured with the prestigious “Doctor of the Year” award by the internal medicine department. She is a member of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS). “Eye Specialist”.
